  4. desisdressobsessed: i’m throwing in another of Roberto Cavalli’s gowns from the same year just because. like i need a valid excuse to condone dress porn. this is from his prêt-à-porter in Milan in 2009. i honestly don’t know where to begin with this one. i’m still on the fence with the whole B&W movement, but i absolutely adore the color combo of this dress and the soft transition between white and black and grey. the combination of textures in both the bodice skirt AND where the skirt begins AND how it billows out with just the right amount of poof and drama is enough to knock off a pair of men’s dress socks, says me. phew. i realize some people may think there’s too much going on here, but isn’t that the point of a dress of this caliber? it very easily could have gone to the side of gaudy, but it doesn’t and stops well before the point of no return. afterall, if you had an event worthy of high fashion, shouldn’t the dress be just as exciting and dramatic? #dressobsessed
